Don't Ignore Your Feelings
We have all heard the phrases like, It’s not personal, It’s business or Emotions have no place in business. But what if that’s not entirely true? What f there is a way to use your emotions in the form of intuition and passion to enhance the decisions you make in your business?
After over 23 years of working with large corporations and small business owners, here are some best practices I have picked up along the way from successful entrepreneurs who found a proper place for emotions in their business.
Managing strategic plans based on data and factual information is important. But don’t be afraid of leveraging your intuition to weigh in on some of the important decisions too. Actions that factor in emotions behind your business, and the connection you create with your customers can give you a competitive edge. Don’t lose the chance for deeper relationships, connections, and foresight while executing your strategic plans. Balancing your desire to be strategic with insights based on emotions can keep your efforts in alignment with your external and internal goals. The key here is balancing both.
"The greatest ability in business is to get along with others and influence their actions."

Your mindset and your passion need to be a part of how you do things too. Don’t get so lost working in your business that you forget to work on your business. Remember why you started all of this in the first place. Spend time developing and refining your vision for your business. Investing more time growing your vision can also balance your solid, steady, effort to get results so you don’t burn yourself out.
Make sure you draw boundaries to avoid getting too emotionally attached. You need to balance your desire to connect, with a strategic mindset. Tap into the power of having a strategic plan for your business and your marketing, and develop a plan to bring your business to the next level. When you combine feelings and connection to drive tactical decisions you can experience more growth.
Remember to rely on processes and systems to ground you and to execute your vision effectively. Make sure you have the tools and systems in place that you need to run your business and create the biggest impact with your efforts. Systematize your tasks so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel every time.
Continue to stay in touch with your higher purpose, even during the mundane, daily actions of your workday but find ways to get more done with less effort, and with less dependence on you. Delegating is key. We all know you can do it all but that doesn’t mean you should. If you feel overwhelmed, pay attention to that and ask for help.
